@media – London 2006
I know this week’s @media event in London will have been blogged a hundred times at least as I was sat next to most of the people doing the blogging. But I just wanted to say how great it was to have been in the same room as Eric Meyer, Jon Hicks, Dave Shea (CSS Zen Garden), Jeffrey Veen, Dan Cederholm, Cameron Moll, Tantek Celik (Technorati, Tantek) and many speakers. It was also great to meet The Lost Boys from the Netherlands (thanks for the red wine) and Ben from the Escape Committee and many Norwegians.
As well as seeing people talking about emerging technologies (AJAX, microformats) it was good to know that lots of people care about design, accessibility and making sure things work wherever web content is viewed.
I have pages and pages of notes. Some of them will make it here, otherwise I’ll post a list of the presentations. Obviously not the same as sitting in a room of 800 web developers taking it all in as it happens.
