qmail, pop and imap

In the quest to sort out the email issue I have been shifting services around and setting email accounts to forward to working pop accounts. A certain amount of frustration still exists with using imap based accounts with squirrelmail, ie authentication, despite having allowed for plain text passwords, etc. The most comprehensive tutorial though has been
Installing qmail and vpopmail at differentpla.net which has enabled pop accounts to work on the system. I can now send and receive on the new domain I am working on. The tutorials require quite a lot of downloading but it works. So thanks to Roger Lipscombe I even have qmailadmin running. I’ll work out imap and SSL and post back when I do. I think it’s about time I spent some time web developing again.
