Webmin under MAMP

I meant to do this a while ago and got distracted by setting up qmail on another server. Anyway, downloads of the latest version of Webmin and the installation instructions are all on the same page of the Webmin website and are compatible with Mac OS X, and once the 8.6Mb download is complete, following the instructions is very simple. Move it to /tmp, gunzip the package, tar it and cd to the directory to run the install.
The only details needed for a default installtion are where Perl lives, use whereis perl, if not sure (should already be on Mac OS X 10.4), and what the root password is. All operations can be carried out from a terminal window (from Finder/Utilities/Terminal). If you’ve used Webmin before there’s no surprises. Access via local web address:port number.
A lot of possibilities and a useful bridge for Linux users changing to Mac, or people with the desire to delve further into Mac OS X.
